Bible College Partnership Teams

COLLEGE CREDITS

We are excited to announce that College Credits are available for our Bridge Teams program from these colleges: Peace River Bible Institute, Nipawin Bible College, Briercrest Bible College, Alberta Bible College and Steinbach Bible College. More are exploring the possibility of partnering with us. You can gain between 24 and 40 credits depending on the school and your successful fulfillment of the team year. This applies only to the 9 month Bridge Team. Please contact us for more information.

The following Teams are available to students attending the following Bible Colleges:

Nipawin Bible College Team

Uganda  *July 2 - 29, 2018

Overview: It is an opportunity for college students to serve and grow while communicating the Gospel, using the arts, in The Philippines. The team will include a group of students from NBC. As it stands, team leadership will include staff from AV and possibly from NBC as well.

Ministry Focus:  Grow in your relationship with God and with your team. Learn to share your story effectively through performances on the streets, Churches, street homes and more in The Philippines. It will be an opportunity to share the Gospel with hundreds and pray for and with them. The team will work with gifted local Christian nationals and missionaries with years of experience in evangelism and Bible training. You will get to partner with Church plants and be involved in their ministries.

Typical Day:
Training is structured with regular worship times and teaching in important growth areas such as prayer, team, culture, missions, ministry, illusions, chalk art, music, drama, puppetry and recreation. Each day may look a little different, but there will be ample opportunity to share Jesus and the difference He's made in your life through various evangeliestic and disciplship opportunities.

Expected Development:
Deepen your personal relationship with the Lord. Learn to effectively tell your story, both one-on-one and from a platform. Develop artistic skills for gospel ministry. Share in the power of the Holy Spirit, the gospel message and then pray for or with them. Assist in Discipling contacts at Bible Studies or coffee shops. Integrate what you have learned into North American life.

Requirements:
A student of NBC - A follower of Christ - Follow through on application process - Recommended by NBC- Raise necessary funds - Being talented in the arts is not a requirement but a heart for service is!

Anticipated cost: $4000 per student *subject to change

 

Philippines Reach Team

PRBI & Action Ventures

Dates:  April 28 - May 28, 2018

Overview: It is an opportunity for college students to serve and grow while communicating the Gospel, using the arts, in the Philippines. The team will include a group of students from PRBI and a leader from Action Ventures.

Team at a Glance:

Winter & Spring ’16-’17 - Training at PRBI
April 28-30 - Training - in Calgary
May 1-22 - Manila, Philippines
May 23-28 - debrief in Calgary

Ministry Focus:  Grow in your relationship with God and with your team. Learn to share your story effectively through performances in schools, colleges, coffee shops, businesses, sports fields and homes in Manila and the surrounding area. It will be an opportunity to share the Gospel with hundreds of students and pray for and with them. Their faith is mainly nominal Catholic. The team will work with local Christian workers with years of experience as evangelists, church planters and disciple makers. There may also be opportunities to help out at a Birthing home, a vocational school and prison outreach.

Typical Day:

Training is structured with regular worship times and teaching in important growth areas such as prayer, team, culture, missions, ministry, illusions, chalk art, music, drama, puppetry and recreation. In the Philippines you will go from school to school performing while sharing the Gospel, praying and hanging out with students in coffee shops!

Share in the power of the Holy Spirit, the gospel message and then pray for or with them. Assist in Discipling contacts at Bible Studies or coffee shops. SBC/AV Team

The United Kingdom

Dates: Feb 8 - Mar 1, 2018

Overview: It is an opportunity for college students to serve and grow while communicating the Gospel, using music and the arts, in the UK. The team will include a group of students from SBC. Team leadership will include staff from Action Ventures and SBC. Action Ventures, formerly Venture Teams International, works as the Training Division of Action International Ministries based in Calgary.

Ministry Focus:  Grow in your relationship with God and with your team. Learn to share your story effectively through performances in schools, colleges, coffee shops, businesses, and homes in England. A key part will be to teach Religious Education classes and answer questions from the students about your faith. Each week will also include a performance at a local church, which you can invite students to, where an invitation will be given. It will be an opportunity to share the Gospel with thousands of teenage students and start to integrate them into the local church. Their faiths include a wide array of Islam, atheist and nominal Christian. The team will work with a local Christian leader with years of experience as an evangelist and disciple maker. He is closely connected with a local church plant which you will be assisting.

Typical Day:
Training is structured with regular worship times and teaching in important growth areas such as Bible, prayer, team, culture, missions, ministry tools, gifting and recreation. In the UK you will go from school to school and classroom to classroom performing and teaching while sharing the Gospel. You might get to teach classes on Math, Biology or other subjects from a Biblical perspective!

Deepen your personal relationship with the Lord. Learn to effectively tell your story, both one-on-one and from a platform. Develop artistic skills for gospel ministry. Share in the power of the Holy Spirit, the gospel message and then pray for or with them. Assist in Discipling contacts at Bible Studies or coffee shops. Integrate what you have learned into North American life.
