Bible College Partnership Teams

COLLEGE CREDITS

We are excited to announce that College Credits are available for our Bridge Teams program from these colleges: Peace River Bible Institute, Nipawin Bible College, Briercrest Bible College, Alberta Bible College and Steinbach Bible College. More are exploring the possibility of partnering with us. You can gain between 24 and 40 credits depending on the school and your successful fulfillment of the team year. This applies only to the 9 month Bridge Team. Please contact us for more information.

PRBI REACH PROGRAM

 We are excited to partner with PRBI in training and leading a team to South East Asia in May 2017.  The REACH certificate is designed to lead into a deeper faith through study as well as practical hands-on experience. Following successful completion of REACH on can seamlessly continue into any of the other two, three or four year programs at PRBI. After graduation, REACH students will embark on a 1-month mission experience in Asia, Africa or the Middle East.

Overview:

It is an opportunity to serve and grow while learning evangelism and discipleship in Southeast Asia.

Leadership:

Team leadership will include staff from AV and PRBI. Students will be given opportunities to further discover and develop in their own gifts and leadership ability in many different areas.

Feb 18 Training Day at PRBI

April 28-30 Training - in Calgary

May 1-24 in Asia

May 25-28 debrief in ACTION office in Calgary

Ministry Focus:

To win, build, train and send other youth and young adults in nominal Christian settings in Asia. There will be opportunities to use the arts to perform, be involved in training seminars, youth camps, colleges and church planting.

Expected result:

Grow in your relationship with God and with your team. Learn to share your story effectively. The team will work with a local Christian worker with years of experience as an evangelist and disciple maker. We expect that many Christian youth groups will become active and alive in Spirit-led evangelism.

Typical Day:

Training is structured with regular worship times and teaching in important growth areas such as prayer, team, culture, missions, ministry, illusions, chalk art, music, drama, puppetry and recreation.

Expected Development:

Deepen your personal relationship with the Lord. Learn to effectively tell your story, both one-on-one and from a platform. Share in the power of the Holy Spirit, the gospel message and then pray for or with them. Assist in Discipling contacts at Bible Studies or coffee shops. Integrate what you have learned into North American life.

Requirements:

A student of PRBI - A follower of Christ - Follow through on application process - Recommended by PRBI - Raise necessary funds - Being talented in the arts is not a requirement but a heart for service is!

MILLAR BIBLE COLLEGE (Pambrun Campus)

We are excited to partner with MILLAR in training and leading a team to South East Asia in the summer of 2017.  It is designed to lead you into a deeper faith through practical hands-on experience. Following the 2017 school year you will embark on a 1-month mission experience in Southeast Asia.

Dates:  *July 2-30, 2017

Overview: Come and serve alongside a group of other young adults growing to be lovers of Jesus, learning how to work in a team context and communicating the Gospel, using the arts, in Asia.  The team will include a group of students from Millar along with Action Ventures staff.

Team at a Glance: July 2-7 - Training - in Calgary; July 8-27 - in Asia; July 28-30 - debrief in Calgary.

Ministry Focus:  Grow in your relationship with God and with your team. Learn to share your story effectively  through performances in schools, colleges, coffee shops, businesses, sports fields and homes in Asia. It will be an opportunity to share the Gospel and pray with Muslims, Hindu’s and nominal Christians. The team will work alongside with a local Christian worker connected with a local church plant. God has used our teams in the past to win many to Christ across this amazing country. 

Typical Day:

During training it is pretty structured with regular worship times and teaching in important growth areas such as team building, Biblical Missions, How to Study your Bible, Ministry Programs, Music, Drama, Puppetry, Recreation, how to pray for people and more. 

Expected Development: 

Deepen your personal relationship with the Lord. Learn how to effectively apply Scripture to daily life. Learn to effectively tell your story, both one-on-one and from a platform.    Develop artistic skills for gospel ministry.  Share competently, in the power of the Holy Spirit, the gospel message with people and then pray for them and over them.  Assist in Discipling contacts into an obedient walk with Christ and the fellowship of His church. Integrate what you have learned into North American life.
